Anglo Fabrics and Ben Zuckerman join forces for this advertisement featuring a wonderful Ben Zuckerman coat in wool.
The coat is very New Look, with it's tiny waist and bertha collar. The sleeves are 3/4 length and the 'skirt' of the coat is wide and flowing. The model has accessorised the coat with a perfect hat, gloves and a very large fox fur muff. Perfection!

This is a lovely red Ben Zuckerman suit, single breasted with a straight skirt. There is a half belt at the rear of the jacket.
You can see that this suit shown with the skirt at two lengths- it would have been very common at this time (1950's to 60's) to alter clothes from season to season, and clothing at this time would have had large seam allowances.
This suit also has a label from Alice Jane Dow, which was a high end boutique based at several locations in Michigan. By 1975 the boutique had closed.

From The Madera Tribune, 4 March 1955-
'Newly sleeved coat of Italian fleece in a colour called fraise, the colour of French strawberries,  was designed for spring by Ben Zuckerman. Ribbed seams extend down the cropped sleeves and converge into V's under the arms. The neckline has a set-back little boy collar and is filled in with a pink silk chiffon scarf.'
