From Vogue, September 1959- a Ben Zuckerman suit in gold brocade. The ensemble is made up of a skirt and blouse with a jacket that is lined in dark fur.
Brocade is defined as a heavy fabric interwoven with a rich, raised design. Brocade was widely used in the 1950's and 60's for more 'dressy' suits and dresses.
