This lovely green velvet suit by Ben Zuckerman probably dates from the mid to late 1950's. It is made of very substantial, firm velvet and was probably worn as a cocktail suit with a dressy blouse or shell underneath the jacket.
The skirt is typical Ben Zuckerman, straight and classic. The jacket is mid-length with decorative buttons and loop closures.
