This lovely Ben Zuckerman suit in baby blue dates from the mid 1960's. It is made up of a single breasted jacket with patch pockets and a sheath style dress. Both pieces are accented by large gold buttons.
This suit is 'new old stock' as the price tag is still attached. This suit retailed for $435 at Saks Fifth Avenue. Even today this is a substantial amount to pay for a suit but in the mid 1960's this might equal 5-10% of the average income of $6000 a year, well beyond the reach of most people.
