This bright pink Ben Zuckerman ensemble, made up of a dress and jacket is youthful and stylish.
The dress and coat are trimmed in navy blue and it appears to be made of a 'waffle' weave cotton. The buttons add a decorative feature.
The colouring of the outfit brings to mind the suit worn by Jacqueline Kennedy when her husband was assassinated in 1963 which makes me believe that it was probably made before that date.

This is an extremely unusual Ben Zuckerman dress that I believe dates from the late 1960's. The styling is somewhat conservative and covered up, as the length of the dress probably falls to knee length but the pattern is 'wild'.
Of course the tailoring is top notch and the dress is fully lined in green silk. This would have been a perfect dress for an older lady who wanted to wear the youthful styles of the late 1960'.

From The Daytona Beach Morning Journal, 14 July, 1967-
'You can look ladylike- all you have to do is pay!'
Here are two Ben Zuckerman coats, trimmed in fur. The skirt lengths indicate that the designer is moving with the times and showing shorter lengths (though still a long way off the mini skirts worn by many at this time.)

This fantastic red Ben Zuckerman coat is a super stylish option to keep warm.
It is made of very heavy and substantial wool and is trimmed in beautiful mink. The quality of the fur is evident in the close-up shots. The coat has 3/4 length sleeves which would let the wearer show off a stylish pair of gloves.

This lovely Ben Zuckerman suit in baby blue dates from the mid 1960's. It is made up of a single breasted jacket with patch pockets and a sheath style dress. Both pieces are accented by large gold buttons.
This suit is 'new old stock' as the price tag is still attached. This suit retailed for $435 at Saks Fifth Avenue. Even today this is a substantial amount to pay for a suit but in the mid 1960's this might equal 5-10% of the average income of $6000 a year, well beyond the reach of most people.

From the early 1950's, this Ben Zuckerman coat is perfection!
It is a dark colour, probably navy or black, with a tiny waist and a flaring skirt. The collar is large and the sleeves finish in large cuffs. Of course the accessories are perfect- a large cartwheel hat, gloves and shoes that match and a perfect pearl necklace and earings.

From 1962- 'The Year the Waist Came Back'
' Two aspects of 1962 shape-news at left- a fitted to the waist suit in navy blue; a rosy high-waisted tweed coat at right. The navy blue suit, farthest left, has a longish, nipped-in jacket that hits the curves nicely over a walkably slender skirt. By Ben Zuckerman of petit-point wool, about $245. The coat, near left, starts on a high curve, then rounds out softly from a narrow, neatly tapered waist. By Monte-Sano & Pruzan in a rose coloured wool tweed fabric.'

This lovely Ben Zuckerman spring coat is marvellous! Made of ivory fabric with a 'ribbed' design, it is feminine and lovely. It is double breasted and has the typical Zuckerman 3/4 length sleeves. The buttons are fantastic as well- they are decorative and add beauty to the coat.

From 1961- 'In 61's Coat Circles'
'This marks the beginning of a great new sweep. The look is much-more-coat but far-less-detail. In back flows a full tide. Its front is untouched by button or collar, enriched only by crisp, controlled tailoring. Ben Zuckerman does it for us in pale beige or black wool, softened by fur fibre or in a vibrant new wool. $275.'
