This Ben Zuckerman coat, in grey tweed, dates from the early 1950's. It has a very full skirt and a tight waist- very New Look.

This is a fantastic Ben Zuckerman suit in a pink boucle tweed. The coat is long and both the coat and skirt are lined in pale silk satin.
This suit has a 'sporty' feel to it- you could imagine wearing it for a walk in the woods or some other country pursuit.

This red wool Ben Zuckerman coat is a real beauty. It's double breasted with brass buttons and has a military feel to it. This coat likely dates from the mid 1960's.

From Ben Zuckerman's fall 1958 collection... a suit with a flared seven-eigths coat- jacket of 'new' navy knit-patterned wool tweed with a fluffy collar of black died lynx and widened sleeves.

This is a Ben Zuckerman suit worn by the lovely model Mary Jane Russell, who rose to the top of her field in the 1950's. She was a favourite of  Louise Dahl-Wolfe and it is estimated that 30% of Ms. Dahl-Wolfe's photographs featured Mary Jane.

Here is a Ben Zuckerman suit made of linen, which probably dates from the early 1960's. It

has a striped pattern and as it was made of linen it would have been worn in the summer 

time.
The suit was sold at William Penn Hat & Gown Shop which was owned by Etta Markowitz and David Berman. They opened David Inc. a women’s clothing company in the William Penn Hotel catering to a high-end clientele. The business was later named the William Penn Hat and Gown Shop. It had several locations downtown before the family sold the business in the 1970s. The new owners moved the business to Walnut Street in Shadyside. The William Penn Hat and Gown closed its doors in 2001.

Here are two Ben Zuckerman suits, in dark wool, dating from 1961. Both suits are worn with hats by Sally Victors.
Sally Victors was born in 1905. From the 1920's until her retirement in 1967, she was a top miliner. She designed hats for Irene Dunne and Merle Oberon, amonst many others. Ms. Victors died in 1977.

This lovely beige suit with hat by Emme, dates from the 1950's, and is of course by the master tailor Ben Zuckerman.

This is a really well tailored Ben Zuckerman jacket, once part of a suit. It's made of a brown tweed with blue flecks. The jacket has a fitted waist and is double breasted.

This is a wonderful very heavy wool suit in a beautiful turquoise. It consists of a straight skirt and a double breasted jacket with a half belt and black buttons.
The coat is trimmed in  black persian lamb.

Imported shadow checked wool in peacock is used for this suit from Ben Zuckerman's Fall 1958 collection.  The lovely fitted jacket has a back-dipping side cape effect and is dropped over a straight skirt.

Here is a Ben Zuckerman cocktail ensemble, with a tight fitting dress with cap sleeves. The coat is full and flared.

This outfit is made of very high quality silk.

This is a gorgeous hot pink velvet coat, with a small half belt to the back of the coat, This coat has a full 'skirt' and 3/4 length sleeves.

Dating from the penultimate year of Ben Zuckerman's career, 1967,  this is a very modern and youthful dress, compared to previous more conservative collections.

From Vogue, 15 August 1957- Joanna McCormick in blue textured wool coat-dress with black dyed mink collar and cuffs by Ben Zuckerman. 

A Ben Zuckerman suit from 1961 in a herringbone tweed with a complimentary hat trimmed in fur.

Here is the wonderful Ben Zuckerman coat, worn by Princess Grace when she arrived in Monaco to marry Prince Rainier. This coat (and the dress, which is not shown) are probably my favourite Ben Zuckerman outfits.

This is a gorgeous camel coloured wool suit by Ben Zuckerman that dates from 1960.

It features a straight skirt,and a single breasted jacket with very large patch pockets.

Here is a Ben Zuckerman cocktail coat in a pale blue brocade. The coat is very full and has a tie at the neckline.

This coat still has the original tag, indicating it was never actually worn.
