From Harper's Bazaar, February 1953- a wonderfully tailored tweed coat by Ben Zuckerman. The coat is single breasted with an empire waistline and 3/4 length sleeves.
The coat is modelled by Barbara Mullen, an American model who started her career at age 18 in 1947. She was the only model available that could fit into a tiny dress sent over from Bergdorf's. She was photographed by John Rawlings, the Conde Nast photographer, and her career was launched.

From Harper's Bazaar, February 1960- the model wears a ruffled collar jacket over a dress, both by Ben Zuckerman. The suit is interesting in that it is tailored and made of traditional suiting material- a checked pattern, but has a soft feminine detail of the ruffle.
