This lovely and feminine suit by Ben Zuckerman dates from the 1950's. It is made of devore velvet, in a check pattern in striking black and brown.
The suit has a flowing skirt and the jacket is typical 1950's- tiny waist, peplum and 3/4 length sleeves.

This interesting picture of the actress Pauley Perrette in a Ben Zuckerman black silk coat. The coat, probably worn over a cocktail dress, appears to be a cape style with an interesting scarf-like neckline.
Ms Perrette is dressed up as Babe Paley (Barbara Cushing Paley) the noted socialite and fashion icon. Babe Paley was born in 1915 in Boston and died in Manhattan in 1978.

Here is a lovely Ben Zuckerman shirt dress, in a black/white and rust check pattern. The dress buttons to the waist and has large patch pockets at the bust and hip. There is a bow tie at the neckline and silk collar and cuffs that give the impression of a blouse worn underneath the dress.

This is a beautiful red velvet Ben Zuckerman jacket, part of either a suit or dress ensemble. The jacket is boxy and single breasted and is trimmed in black satin. This jacket probably dates from the mid 1960's.
The jacket was sold at Amelia Gray Beverley Hills, a high end boutique located on the famous Rodeo Drive. The store is no longer in existence.
