This is a wonderful black Ben Zuckerman coat in heavy silk. It's wonderfully well made, with many high end details like bound button holes, and perfectly set sleeves. The coat is subtly trimmed with classic buttons and has perfect patch pockets.

This is a Ben Zuckerman coat, in a heavy black wool.  It is double breasted and fastens with black satin rosette buttons. The coat is decorated with a black satin collar.
The coat was sold at John Doyle Bishop, Seattle. John Doyle Bishop was an Irishman who lived in Seattle, and owned a luxury boutique from the late 1940's to the 1970's.  Mr Bishop was a well know local character, who was famously arrested on St Patrick's Day, 1972 after painting a green stripe down Fifth Avenue in Seattle.

What a gorgeous jacket! It was probably part of a suit, but looks great on it's own. The jacket has a slightly nipped waist that flares slightly below the waist. It also features a half belt in the rear. The colour is a spectacular lipstick red.
