This is a lovely Ben Zuckerman jacket that would have had a matching skirt at one point. It is made of a heavy corded wool in pale yellow. The jacket is single breasted and the sleeves have wonderful turn back cuffs.

This is a lovely Ben Zuckerman jacket, that was likely paired with a skirt. The jacket is made of very heavy wool in a black and white herringbone pattern, and is trimmed in black braid. The style of the jacket is very Chanel.

This is a stunning Ben Zuckerman jacket, once part of a suit. It is made of a very heavy and substantial wool tweed and is trimmed in fox fur at the cuffs and collar. It is impeccably tailored and would have been a very expensive suit to buy. I believe it dates from the late `50's to early `60's.

Here we have a truly stunning Ben Zuckerman cocktail ensemble. It is made up of a skirt that is knee length, and a blouse that is short sleeved and fastens with buttons up the back.
The standout piece is the jacket, which fastens asymmetrically. It has a tie at the neckline, and can be tied however the wearer would like. This ensemble would be worn to cocktail parties and similar  evening events.

This stunning Ben Zuckerman suit dates from the early to mid 1960's. It's made of navy blue boucle tweed. The skirt is simple in design to allow the jacket to shine. The jacket is perfect, single breasted with a roll collar.

This is a gorgeous evening coat, in a thick pale blue wool. It is double breasted and has diamante buttons and a collar encrusted in rhinestones and pearls. The coat was sold at Rose Goldwasser, which was probably a high end boutique.

This gorgeous Ben Zuckerman suit dates from the late 1960's, towards the end of Ben Zuckerman's career. It is a pale grey wool, with a typical Zuckerman plain skirt, and a jacket that has 3/4 length sleeves, and a half belt at the waist. The model is wearing a fantastic hat, that almost resembles a towel wrapped around the head.

From November, 1958- Taupe wool suit by Ben Zuckerman has jacket over sheath with dress up or dress down bodice.

From The Madera Tribune, 3 March, 1955-
'Vertical pleats run into the pockets of this grey and white tweed suit, from the Ben Zuckerman collection. Under the black patent leather belt is a flat set in bell. The white silk scarf and carnation are part of the design.'

From 1953- model Sunny Hartnett wearing a lovely dark brocade Ben Zuckerman suit. The jacket has a tiny waist and soft, sloping shoulders and makes the most of Miss Hartnett's lovely figure.
Sunny Harnett, born in 1924, as Annemarie Margot Harnett in Brooklyn, was a model in the 1950s. She can be found in fashion magazines throughout that era — including frequently on the cover of Vogue. Harper′s Bazaar ranks her as one of the 26 greatest models of all time

This is Princess Grace of Monaco, leaving New York on the SS Constitution to travel to Monaco for her wedding to Prince Rainier.
The SS Constitution was built in 1951 and sailed to Europe until the late 1960's when she started sailing to Hawaii. She retired in 1995 and was sunk in 1997.
Grace Kelly wears a beige suit by Ben Zuckerman, and she is seen carrying the Hermes bag named after her, the Kelly Bag.

From The Sydney Morning Herald, 25 September, 1952- American Fashion Critics designated by a jury of 70 fashion editors and presented by Coty was presented to designer Ben Zuckerman.
An example of Mr Zuckerman's work was shown above, a coat and dress costume in fleece and French plaid wool.

This Ben Zuckerman coat, dating from 1953 is made of 'poodle' knit wool in a very pale lilac. It has one visible button (and probably more hidden buttons), 3/4 length sleeves and a large collar. It is a warm and cosy coat that looks great too!

Here we have a beautiful silk brocade coat by Ben Zuckerman. The coat is single breasted and has patch pockets and 'ruby' buttons. This coat would have like had a matching or complimentary dress and would have been worn to cocktail parties.

Ben Zuckerman created this lovely formal suit in silver brocade. It consists of a long, slightly flared skirt and a single breasted jacket with diamante buttons.

While shopping for her trousseau, Grace Kelly (soon to be Princess Grace) bought a number of suits from Ben Zuckerman, including this lovely example. She wore the suit to her wedding rehearsal  She accessorised it with a pair of white gloves, a turban and a clip board, which caused, according to Judith Balaban Quine, bridesmaid to Miss Kelly, several people to confuse Grace for a secretary, as no future princess could look so business like!

This undated Ben Zuckerman coat, probably dating from the early 1950's is in a wrap or 'robe' style. The coat is in pale tan and has 3/4 length sleeves and has no buttons- rather it is held shut by the wearer.
The model also wears a brooch by Jean Schlumberger. Schlumberger was born in France in 1907 and moved to the US after the Second World War. He was well known for his work with Tiffany's, and had many famous fans, including Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor and Jacqueline Kennedy. He was also the first jewellery designer to win a Coty Award. He died in 1987.
