This Ben Zuckerman ad, dating from the early 1950's, features a stunning suit with a tiny waist, cuffs at the wrist and a draped feature at the lapels. The model is perfectly accessorized, with matching gloves, shoes and hat. The most interesting feature is the chiffon scarf detail from one of the pockets at the hip.

This lovely Ben Zuckerman suit, in ivory wool is a delight! The jacket is single breasted and has typically decorative buttons. The sleeves are 3/4 length and there are pockets at the waist.
The skirt is simple and classic. The suit looks as good today as when it was made 60 years ago.
The suit was sold at Evelyn Byrnes, 480 Park New York, which was in all likely hood a high end boutique.

'Take it from Nemo- Miss Behave Shapes the smartest figures in town!'
This advertisement, from 1958, features girdles by Nemo. Girdles were essential wear during the 1950s and these models were in all likelihood wearing girdles under the Ben Zuckerman suits featured in the ad.
The suit on the left has a great jacket, with a 'tie' effect that makes it look like a sailor shirt. The suit on the right, in a dark wool, has a jacket that curves gently around to the back.
