From 1961- a Ben Zuckerman coat and dress ensemble in pink cotton pique. This outfit would be perfect for spring- you could wear the coat when it is colder and remove it as the weather improves.
Piqué, or marcella, refers to a weaving style, normally used with cotton yarn, which is characterized by raised parallel cords or fine ribbing. Twilled cotton and corded cotton are close relatives.

This is lovely Ben Zuckerman suit, dating from the late 1950's, in a bright red.
The suit is made of heave wool woven into a zig-zag pattern. The jacket is single breasted with large, decorative buttons so typical of Ben Zuckerman. The skirt is simple and classic.

This wonderful Ben Zuckerman suit, which dates from 1958, is a delight! Made of purple houndstooth wool, and trimmed with beaver at the cuff and collar, it has a peplum jacket and a straight skirt. The jacket is belted at the waist, which draws the eyes to the slim middle section.
This suit was sold at Levine & Smith, New York, which was a ladies' wear store founded in 1948.  The store no longer exists.

This wonderful Ben Zuckerman suit dates from the early to mid 1960's. It is made of a very substantial (and expensive!) wool in a pale pink. The jacket is single breasted with pockets at the waist. The buttons are exquisite- almost like jewellery.
The skirt is a slight A-line and is a very classic style that would not look out of place today. This suit is not couture but isn't far off, there is a real attention to detail and the workmanship is top notch.
This beautiful suit was sold at Martha's, Palm Beach, New York, Miami Beach. Martha's was a very high end boutique that sold only the finest clothing, including many French designers such as Dior. I

An ad for Chrysler from 1956 featuring a Ben Zuckerman suit.
'Your arrival duly noted- There's a kind of 'look-who's here' when you step out of one of these handsome cars: the Plymouth, Dodge, Desoto or Chrysler. They say nice things about your taste, with their lithe lines and fine appointments. They point you out as a knowing driver- for no other cars handle as politely as these. And they deliver you anywhere looking your best- for every moment at the wheel of a Chrysler Corporation car is delightfully restful. Try one and find yourself handling the best mannered steel on the road.'
The model is wearing a grey tweed Zuckerman suit with a straight skirt and a tasselled scarf. She is perfectly accessorised with matching shoes and bag as well as gloves and umbrella.

This lovely Ben Zuckerman suit dates from the early 1950's. It is a perfect example of a New Look fashion- with the soft, sloping shoulders, nipped waist and full skirt. It features a large collar, cuffs at the sleeve and jewelled buttons. There are also two pockets at the waistline.
This suit is so feminine and pretty- and is a beautiful pale yellow. Wonderful!
